Verna L. Fuller, longtime resident of Kennett Square, PA, died on Saturday, July 8, 2006 at Stonehedge Health and Rehabilitation Center in Rome, NY. She was the widow of the late George T. Fuller
She was born in Downingtown, PA on April 12, 1917, a daughter of the late John F. and Ola C. Leonard. She was a graduate of the Kennett High School class of 1935. Mrs. Fuller retired from Bell Atlantic (now Verizon) in 1976 after a career of 40 years.
She was a member of St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Kennett Square, and the Bell Telephone Pioneers.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Bernadette and David Arthur of Rome, NY; a brother, Albert J. Leonard of St. Pete Beach, FL; two grandsons, Matthew Arthur and Michael Arthur of Rome, NY; very dear cousin, Florence D. Brown of Kennett Square; and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Catherine M. Leonard in 1982.
Her funeral mass will be celebrated at 10 AM on Friday, July 14, 2006 at St. Patrick's Church, 212 Meredith St., Kennett Square. Family and friends may call from 7 to 9 PM on Thursday, July 13, 2006 and also from 9 to 9:30 AM on Friday, July 14, 2006 at the Kuzo & Grieco Funeral Home, 250 West State St., Kennett Square. Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Contributions may be made in Verna's memory to St. Patrick School, 210 Meredith St., Kennett Square, PA 19348.
